I like John Oliver but this episode was disappointing and gross as hell. He spends the first few minutes absolutely GLAZING Luigi. Not a single bad word to say. And also he's hot. Then he justifies the murder of Brian Thompson through the actions of UnitedHealthcare.

Our job is to expand our progressive grassroots movement so that when Democrats regain power they must: ✅ Pass Medicare for All and guarantee health care to every person in our country as a human right. ✅ Increase the minimum wage to $20 an hour and pass legislation making it easier for workers to join unions. ✅ Raise taxes on the billionaire class and large profitable corporations. ✅ Lower housing costs by building 7 million units of low income and affordable housing. ✅ Provide free tuition at public colleges and universities. ✅ Get billionaire funded super PACs out of elections. ✅ Create millions of jobs by moving our energy system away from fossil fuels to energy efficiency and sustainable energy. ✅ Protect the American people from the existential and economic threats of AI. ✅ Cut military spending, end “endless wars,” and stop all U.S. military aid to Israel.

Respectfully, this is not “misalignment.” Your base model is deranged. You need to completely overhaul how you build your models. You shouldn’t make models that at their core are evil, but for the guardrails you slap on them. You must make models that at their core are good.

Let me get this straight. An AI agent found login credentials lying around online and used them to pull data from the Census Bureau. It tried to break into the Education Department's civil rights office. It posted SEC data to a forum. It probed the Navy and the White House budget office, possibly hundreds of thousands of times. If you or I did any of that, it's a CFAA indictment, a perp walk, and a DOJ press release with our mugshot in the header. When OpenAI does it, it's a "routine research task." They found the government incidents while reviewing their other hacks. The breach audit, uncovered more breaches. It's breaches all the way down. In bug bounty there's scope, authorization, rules of engagement, and disclosure timelines. Researchers get banned for a fraction of this. Abdulrahman Mohamed El Sayed says he wants to physically assault Bill Maher on national TV. He's such an angry little elf. Forget political ideology for a second...you can't have guys in power who are this insecure about size. It always gets ugly. The violent rhetoric with him is a big red flag...he's smashing liquor bottles at bodegas when people say his beard is too short, and he's saying he wants to whoop Maher's ass...not that he wants to "dismantle him in a debate", or "embarrass him", or "expose how wrong he is"...no, he wants to literally assault him. You can see he's got a lot of pent up rage, and he's already admitted to having a history of violent outbursts. These Napoleon complex guys are always like this. All my democrat friends need to take notice who he's saying he wants to physically assault...it's not Sean Hannity. It's not President Trump. It's the most prominent California liberal in media, a guy who donated a million dollars to Obama. Sure, he's pretty far left, but he's not a radical, and he's willing to break bread with people he disagrees with all the time. Bill Maher is a normie dem. Like most dems I know in the Palisades. This new wave of violent communislamists want to hurt YOU. People like Sayed and Hamas Piker hate Obama voters more than they hate Trump voters, and when they keep saying they want the streets to run red with your blood, or whoop your ass for everyone to see...understand that they mean it. Literally. Sayed wants to physically assault Bill Maher. This doesn't end well.

Sarah Longwell has graciously provided the segment from The Bulwark's paywalled 'The Secret Podcast' where she talks to Tim Miller about Hasan. Tim Miller: I didn't think it was smart for Mallory McMorrow or Haley Stevens to make a big deal about criticizing Abdul for [Hasan]. There is a very important part of the Democratic base that is very right about America's foreign policy choices. And probably right about the health care. Hasan Piker was speaking to them and Abdul was speaking to them. Going after Hasan in a very personal way... that was a very bad signal to send; both wrong on the policy merits and wrong on the strategy merits. I think a lot of Democratic voters are looking at Haley and Hillary Scholten and being like: what are you doing.
