@ManUtd this is an embarrassment. My friend @cesc4official has built a team that is hungry, eager, positive and full of conviction. A message to the Glazers please put the fans out of their misery & sell the club to someone that loves it and wants to invest in it. Please leave.

Thank heaven for small mercies. The UK government has — at last — granted consent for gas to be produced from the Jackdaw gas field. Now, what about Rosebank?

The law to legalise assisted dying in the Isle of Man has received Royal Assent, although no date has yet been agreed for it to be implemented. The Act will not come into force until all practical, clinical and safeguarding arrangements have been agreed 👇

BREAKING: Isle of Man becomes the second Crown Dependency to legalise assisted dying.
It comes after Jersey received Royal Assent for its own Assisted Dying Bill earlier this year.
The milestone is a tribute to the Manx families who campaigned for years for a change in the law.
Terminally ill people in the Isle of Man and Jersey now have a choice that is denied to dying people just a short journey away in Liverpool, London or Cardiff. That is not a sustainable position.
The question for Westminster now is how much longer will dying people in England and Wales be made to wait.

You do realise that it’s not obligatory for deputies to communicate via public social media platforms and that their official deputy direct contact details are available on the government website? Have you tried that? @RobCurg seems determined not to meet or contact his fellow deputy directly, which seems rather cowardly to me. Or maybe he’s just determined to be as disruptive and confrontational as possible, which seems totally in line with his modus operandi to date since being elected.

Hi Lars and Rob, you should reread the policy letter. My references come from this. It sets out the information clearly. We’ve had the debate, and I'm not having it again here. I see no need for either of you to keep sowing doubt and conspiracy. Please reread the policy letter; then I'd be happy to meet with you both. 👍

Grow up Rob. Deputies don’t have to conduct discussions with each other in public.

A cost-of-living crunch is looming this winter, especially fuel bills.

Inflation is rising once more, as are interest rates.
Russian forces are threatening our infrastructure, especially undersea data and energy links.
The Strait of Hormuz remains closed, our Gulf allies are under attack.

Zelenskyy: "If the United States supports Putin, it's unbelievable, it's a tragedy. It's a historic mistake. If United States officially takes the side of Russia, of course we will not prevail and we will not be able to stand."

Zelenskyy on Trump: "I hope that he will change his decisions, because I think it's all mistakes. It will not help us and it will not help the United States. But it's not my choice. And I hope he will change his attitude to Putin ... we can't compare me and Putin. He's the aggressor."

The riots and destruction of property in France and several other EU countries are alarming. The EU model is creating big divisions with extremist politics on the left and right. The UK government needs to do more to solve our problems at home, not make them worse by linking us to the failing EU system.
