When removal of allowances were introduced in 2016 it was at the higher earnings threshold, then £136k.
2026 Higher Earnings Allowance 196k whilst allowances are lost from £86k
24% marginal rate after £85k which in 2016 real income is £59k

And that's before even asking what passports our rootless cosmopolitan might have. There's a shedload of ICC members that allow dual/multiple citizeship, so getting to double figures would be pretty trivial. Obvs that drops to just 2 once you actually play for a second team.
