Yesterday I accepted a job for a year one maternity cover in a class named ‘tigers’. Last night I also went into my draw for something to lean on and found a planner that @primaryedgrace gave me as a graduation present - if this isn’t a sign it is as meant to be idk what is🐯

staying on another year at my school in year 2 and I’m getting my old class back from when I was with them in year 1 for a term 🥲❤️ can’t wait!!

I’m now a primary RQT in Year 2! I moved into my new class on Monday and I’m there until September 😊 just down the corridor from my old class and finding the transition hard (subject knowledge wise and emotionally tbh) would love to know some more yr2 accounts to follow 🙂

A little girl in my class had a bumped head - so the classic bag of frozen peas... well I couldn’t resist bobbing a couple in the fruit box. We are currently doing the Evil Pea for context 😆 creative writing pending

What a week! Had 3 new children in my class since last Thursday and a 4th start on Monday! Ngl it’s been a bit manic 🙈so I’m happy my class is a full 30 now

I have used this and I confirm this is great!

doing part-part-whole in addition and subtraction with my year ones the next few weeks (we do mastery one which is FANTASTIC and shows lots of representations of this concept) but any other resources / advice welcome please 😊

Invested in some LED strips so I can still enjoy my lovely dressing table in winter ... and I no longer have to get ready in the dark, which is a bonus, because my boyfriend doesn’t have to get up at silly o’clock like I do🤪 I actually know what I look like leaving the house now

The personality of my class is starting to come out a bit more! 🥰 So happy because my last lot were such a bunch of characters

the most “I’m a primary school teacher” dress I own and I LOVE it - I’ve been wearing baggy jumper dresses all week so thought I’d jazz it up for the day I get new printer credit 🥳 😅

Late night print job for me tonight😖 - least I have my trusty labels

used up all my printing credit (my own fault, too colour happy) and can’t get anymore until the 1st 😭😂 I’m a KS1 class - please feel my struggle

What level of Friday tiredness are you? I’m stopping at a green light level of tired 😳😖

I never snack like I do on the drive home from school - whatever I can get my hands on in the car I’ll eat... that cereal bar that’s been rolling under my seat for the past 6 months be looking pretty tasty

I’m looking for more year one teacher twitter accounts to follow! Please leave me your recommendations or give me a follow/like if you are as I want to see more content I can relate to😊❤️ (and steal ideas from 😋)
