The greatest gift we have ever received arrived at 1:42am on Christmas Day. Thankful to the NHS for everything they have done this year but even more so for the care we received during a difficult and scary labour and mostly for the wonderful Christmas dinner #thankyouNHS
Today I made a special appearance via teams to my class and they were so excited to see me even though they had apparently thought it was going to be Father Christmas... after a very difficult week seeing their faces and hearing their voices has made me feel so warm inside
Last week I came home from school for the last time to work from home until my maternity leave and I am already missing my school family so much 😩Having worked in industry where I cried regularly in the toilets I can’t stress how amazing it is to work in a place that I love 💕

I don’t suppose anyone in the wonderful world of #edutwitter could help with this? @AsdaServiceTeam @Georgeatasda ... is there anywhere we could find one of these jumpers around aged 7-8? 🙌🏼 🤞💕
Yesterday I wore my hair down and mascara and numerous pupils told me I looked nice. Today I had my hair back up and no makeup and I walked straight in to “ah you’re back to your normal face and hair today like the olden days” 😂
My amazing class doing some litter picking around school 🌟
Here are some photographs of 1D doing some litter picking during their outdoor learning session. Mrs Black says "We are avid litter pickers in 1D!"

In love with the poster my class made to remind everyone to wear their masks! We have a big difference in our colouring styles... #edutwitter
Possibly the best piece of independent work I’ve seen in months... #edutwitter
If this doesn’t brighten your day I don’t know what will - we work with the best students #whyIteach

Finding it very hard to read negativity towards teachers in the media and on social media when I’m 26 weeks pregnant teaching my wonderful children and yet my husband hasn’t attended a single scan or appointment - wish people would remember teachers are people as well #bekind
Yesterday I had to break my cardinal rule of modelling behaviour and sit on the climbing frame in outdoor learning instead of the floor with my bump. Luckily though I corrected others copying with - “if you have a baby in your belly you can sit here” 😂
Yesterday during a task one of my pupils answered “what would you like to be when you’re older?” With “a Jetsetter” and I’ve never related to an answer more ✈️ 🍹 ☀️
I can’t remember who first showed me the yellow highlighter trick but for anyone who hasn’t used it yet YOU NEED TO #edutwitter #SEN
And they were fantastic story maps too! #proudteacher
Here is 1D busy at work on their story maps.
It's so nice to see everyone settled and working hard!

FRIDAY 🎉 survived my first full week in class pregnant with the help of my fab TAs and lots of chocolate 🍫 as tiring as it’s been I could not be happier to be back hearing my classroom full of laughter
First day of term is an online inset day - what a perfect set up to start the academic year with my girls and my @TPositiveTC amazing plannner #edutwitter
So excited to see my class and especially excited to see their reaction to my 6 month pregnant bump considering they used to tell other staff I was “perganent” when I had eaten a bit too much at the weekend 😂
It’s been a wild NQT year (to say the least) but could not have done it without being at such an amazing school with support from incredible colleagues 🌟
So proud of our current NQT’s @MissWhittaker04 @_MrsCBlack & Miss.Morris for passing their NQT year! We are so proud! 😊
