Pretty sure I watched this while eating a PB&J with the crusts cut off. Still the greatest putt in golf history.
You never played golf in your life but need to sink a 15 footer for a car.

In 2011 the @SFGiants sold World Series standing room only (SRO) tickets for $50. In 2012, they started dynamic pricing. In 15 years of dynamic pricing we have gone from $50 to $889 This is why you are seeing empty seats in the championship series.
Replying to @BigRedGilbert

I'd consider me and my wife in the upper echelon of diehard sports fans. We plan our lives around our teams, including having full season tickets to the Lightning and a quarter season plan to the Rays. We make it a point to not schedule any vacations during the Stanley Cup Playoffs window or MLB Postseason. It's that serious. We chose to not opt in to this year's Rays postseason tickets because of the cost. Full stop. Could we have done it? Sure. Would it have been the wisest decision to make? I don't think so. The cost of our seats increased by approximately 103% for the ALDS, 338% for the ALCS, and a mind-boggling 790% for the World Series. We haven't even gotten to parking yet. That increased by approximately 233% for the ALDS, 333% for the ALCS, and 400% for the World Series. I'm well aware that prices increase for the playoffs and that the league sets those, but the amount these increased is astronomical and out of reach for a large percentage of fans. Single game prices are even more expensive, when you consider Season Members are offered their seats at a discounted rate. Because of this, we only purchased tickets to Game 1 of the ALDS and Game 1 of the ALCS. I hate that we can't be in attendance for every game, but making a foolish (and emotional) financial decision isn't the answer. I can't begin to imagine how out of reach this is for families with children. Fandom isn't defined by asses in seats or if you're willing to go into debt. MLB and sports throughout North America need to look in the mirror and stop the greedy profiteering. Ragging on fans for choosing work and essentials over tickets and arrears only makes you look bad.

The first thing I saw on X today were stories about attendance inside the Trop. I have some thoughts before the Tampa Bay Rays play the Cleveland Guardians in Game 3.

Look, I’ve been covering this for 18 years. For those of you who haven’t: 1) The Rays don’t have bad fans. 2) There isn’t the appetite to drive 50min for MLB that there is in other markets 3) Fla fans also aren’t as willing as other cities to spend $200-$400 on tix. That’s it.
The lightning have no issues with fans, rays is also about location. Population growth here is in eastern Hillsborough. People aren’t going to make the drive and spend hundreds of bucks for crap seats

Baseball was played for 150+ years and sometime in the last 10 a couple of big market fanbases decided that the only way you should be allowed to score is on home runs
Rays Brewers world series gonna be horrible

I don't care if they're actually needed structurally or not, the new Rays ballpark needs to have a couple catwalks.

Congratulations to @STUFFMagic for being named the 2026 NBA Mascot of the Year! This marks the third time STUFF has been given this honor by his peers across the NBA (2016, 2017 and 2026). STUFF was also the first-ever back-to-back winner in the award’s history 👏

Took our son to the batting cage where I used to hit in the 80s. These posters haven’t moved in 37 years. The Soviet Union still existed. The World Wide Web hadn’t been invented. Nobody had ever sent a text message. Since these posters went up.
