Really, really proud of this. I'm delighted to be part of such an amazing publication with my poem 'After I was, and the baby was not', which is very special to me. Thank you so much for the opportunity, @thewingedmoon

I do love a tiny poem and how it can say so much with only a few lines. 🐯 'Just Right' by Deborah Holt Williams in the latest @tygertygermag is just perfect. 🐯

Today at the Edward Thomas Literary Festival, I got to see one of my favourite/most influential poems read by the author himself, Zaffar Kunial β€” such a playful poem of language and lettersπŸͺ»

Sure, we talk about Homer's catalogue of ships and Hesiod's catalogue of women, but what about Xenophon's catalogue of good dog names (On Hunting VII.5)? Some of my favorites are Aktis (Sunbeam), Froura (Look-out), Chara (Joy), Augo (Glitter), and Styrax (Spike).

The gap between a Latinist's level at the end of schooling and their readiness to read authentic texts has been growing with each generation (due to successive curriculum time cuts). At the same time we've been focusing on only publishing school-oriented Latin texts. 1/10

Vincent van Gogh was born March 30 1853. Here's no painting but a page he wrote in a cafe in Laken in November 1878 which shows him declining ancient Greek demonstrative pronouns. Enjoy! – at Cambridge, England
