Poem 27 was co-written with Jonathan, online. This one we did line by line, pushing each other to test the surrealist boundaries. He wrote using a spelling board by moving his eyes. What fun we had!

In the early 1970s I co-devised, co-wrote a teaching to read BBC Schools TV series called 'Sam and Boff's Island'. It was based on phonics, songs and fantasy starring Miriam Margolyes, Tony Robinson, John Faulkner, Sandra Kerr, with animation by Oliver Postgate and Pete Firmin

Child’s poem of the day for this month - by Natalie who was 11 yrs old. The children chose a postcard from a selection of about forty cards of paintings so everyone had a different image. I love the power of the poem - the adventurous word-images. The poem is beside the painting.
