A shared AI platform could solve a problem that individual AI pilots cannot: consistent accountability across an organization.
McKinsey’s public-sector framework illustrates how different use cases, from fraud screening to permit processing, can operate through a common governance layer.
Identity controls, testing, audit logs and model registries are built into that layer rather than recreated for every application.
The strategic benefit is significant. Agencies can develop new AI services while maintaining common standards for access, oversight and evaluation.
This also changes where responsibility sits. Business units remain accountable for their services, while shared technology and governance capabilities establish the safeguards.
Scaling AI responsibly requires more than approving individual tools. It requires an architecture in which governance scales alongside adoption.

Senator Tyron Whitten nails it. The Digital Duty of Care is the worst piece of anti-speech legislation in our history.
You’ll always remember those who took the right stand against tyranny and that time is now.
The easy option is to agree with the tyrants and then be rewarded with a phony award, a cushy occupation set up for you, and a large mansion overlooking the ocean.
Most of the people pushing globalist agendas are rewarded for their devious deeds. Some choose the noble path.

The race to scale humanoid robots may be decided in factories before it is decided in AI labs.
McKinsey identifies actuators, precision gearboxes and advanced sensing systems as potential supply chain bottlenecks. Actuators alone account for an estimated 40–60% of a humanoid robot’s component costs.
The challenge is industrial scale. Many critical components require specialized manufacturing, precision engineering and supplier capabilities that are not yet ready for mass production.
This creates an opportunity beyond robot manufacturers.
Companies that can build reliable, scalable component supply chains may capture significant value as humanoid robotics expands.
The competitive advantage may ultimately belong not only to those developing the smartest robots, but also to those capable of manufacturing them economically at scale.

73% of Americans say they have little or no trust in businesses to use AI responsibly.
Bentley University–Gallup’s 2026 survey finds that only 27% express at least some trust, down from 31% in 2025.
For executives, this is a product and governance challenge. As AI becomes part of customer service, hiring and other decisions, people need to know how their information is used, who is accountable for mistakes and when a human can intervene.
Trust deserves a place in AI design decisions, not just in corporate statements about responsible technology.

Two suppliers in different countries can still leave your business dependent on one shipping route.
If both rely on the same narrow passage, a closure can interrupt both sources at once. That shared exposure can be easy to miss when procurement assesses suppliers separately.
BCG identifies Hormuz, the Bosporus and the Danish Straits as chokepoints with no practical alternative sea routes. Land or air transport may help, but capacity can tighten during the same disruption.
Before paying for a second supplier, check how its goods actually reach you. Where routes overlap, resilience may also require inventory buffers, a different production location or verified alternative transport capacity.
Supplier diversification should be assessed against the disruption it is meant to withstand.

Comedian Dave Hughes has unleashed on Anthony Albanese’s “unbelievable” army of 59 personal advisers, some of whom are paid more than $400,000 a year to work exclusively for the PM.
It comes as a politics expert warns the real issue isn’t the size of the Prime Minister’s staff, but a trend of “classification inflation” that allows Mr Albanese to quietly bump advisers into higher pay brackets with zero public justification.
In a viral clip over the weekend, Hughesy — who has become a vocal critic of the Labor government over the past year — tore into Mr Albanese over his sprawling inner circle and the massive bill left to taxpayers.

The most expensive AI investment may target a bottleneck that has already moved.
McKinsey Global Institute maps AI as a system in which capabilities, physical resources, institutions and adoption interact. Progress in one part can change what limits the next.
For a company, that makes budget reviews a moving target. A better model may expose weak data access. Better access may expose unclear decision rights. Wider use may expose a workflow that nobody has authority to redesign.
Before renewing an AI investment, ask which constraint is binding now, who can remove it and what result would show it has shifted. Let that answer set the next spend.

AI is removing some of the tasks through which junior employees learn to exercise judgment.
McKinsey’s HR survey shows rising emphasis on digital literacy (+15 percentage points), problem-solving (+9) and creativity (+6) among future skills. These year-on-year shifts are directional because the survey’s country coverage changed.
The tension for employers is clear: they increasingly value judgment while automating work that historically helped people develop it.
When automating junior work, identify which learning opportunities disappear. Build supervised decision practice into the redesigned role: let people make an initial assessment, compare it with AI’s output and explain their reasoning to an experienced colleague.

Small businesses don't need the ATO’s credit card ban delayed. They need it scrapped.
Instead of screwing small businesses today, Labor is going to screw them next year.
To make it worse, this is a stay of execution funded by taxpayers.
Labor is giving the ATO a taxpayer-funded handout while 30 businesses go bust every day.
This is another mistake from Jim Chalmers. Jim Chalmers is the Treasurer. The Tax Office administers his tax policy. He should take responsibility and fix it.
We will put forward legislation next week to fix this and scrap the ban.
