Thrilled to announce that CFO's Domain has been acquired by @Solomon_Edwards to expand their Office of CFO capabilities! It’s been an incredible journey the last 7 years, from starting my own firm with my partner to navigating a global pandemic 9 months later, to growing and selling the company, I couldn’t be more excited for what lies ahead. Grateful beyond words to our families, team, clients, and everyone who supported this journey. Couldn't have done it without you. Full details: businesswire.com/news/home/2…

Burnout in high-performing teams is almost never a personal failing. It is an organizational signal that got ignored. The early signs are usually visible. Quality of work changes before attendance does. The engaged person goes quiet in meetings. The one who always raised their hand stops. Leaders who catch those signals early protect people and performance at the same time. The ones who treat them as individual performance issues usually lose the person eventually anyway.

The way a finance team runs its month-end close tells you almost everything about the leadership culture above it. A close that requires heroic effort every single month is not a process problem. It is a leadership problem. Someone decided at some point that the workarounds were acceptable. That manual steps were fine because they always got done eventually. Those decisions accumulate. They get passed down. The teams that transform their close cycles fastest had a leader who decided the heroics were no longer acceptable. Not as an initiative. As a cultural statement.

Self-awareness is only valuable when it changes how you show up. Listening without preparing your response, owning a mistake, or reconsidering how you handled a situation might seem small. But repeated over time, those choices shape how you lead and how people experience working with you. Growth isn't just about setting personal development goals. It's about putting them into practice, one interaction at a time.
Want to grow as a leader? Put personal development on your calendar, not just professional goals. I believe in making growth practical. In your next meeting, listen without planning your reply. Before the day ends, ask yourself what you could have handled better. Small acts of self-awareness give you something concrete to work on. Don’t just measure what you accomplish. Pay attention to who you’re becoming while you do it.

AI is making it easier to replicate features, which puts more pressure on SaaS companies to understand what customers are really paying for. The lasting advantage may be less about what the product does and more about how well it fits into the customer's business and the value it delivers over time. @profithuntercfo
If AI can help your competitors build what took you years to create, how do you stay ahead? That's the challenge SaaS founders need to think about. Your product alone might not be enough anymore. - What keeps customers paying? - How hard is it to switch to a competitor? - What do you offer that AI can't easily replicate? Because buyers won't just look at your ARR. They'll want to know why customers will still choose you 3 years from now.
