25 Jahre im Europäischen Parlament – die heute zu Ende gehen.
In dieser Zeit wurden Erfolge erzielt, Krisen bewältigt und Weichen gestellt. Es ging immer um die Frage: Macht jeder, was er will oder machen wir es besser gemeinsam?

🇪🇺 Back from @forumalpbach: Ukraine, Europe’s security and the return of nuclear deterrence at the heart of the debate.
With @ischinger and @KPisarska, one message: distinguish risk from coercion, deny Russia any nuclear “theory of victory”, and ensure that nuclear escalation can never improve Moscow’s position.

🇪🇺🇺🇦 #Solidarität mit der Ukraine - im Großen & im Kleinen: Mit Spenden von Mitarbeiter:innen der EU-Büros, Botschaften und des 🇦🇹Außenministeriums konnte Hilfswerk International ~100.000 warme Mahlzeiten, Stromgeneratoren & Decken für Menschen in Kyjiw & Umgebung anschaffen.
Der Leitspruch des Hilfswerk Österreich ist kein Werbesatz, sondern ein Versprechen: „Große Hilfe, ganz nah.“ 🤝
Seit 1998 darf ich als Präsident Verantwortung übernehmen und es freut es mich sehr, dass die Generalversammlung mich erneut für 4 Jahre in meinem Amt bestätigt hat.
Wir sollten verstärkt den Fakten und Zusammenhängen eine Plattform geben . Bücher, wie jenes von @HBrandstaetter, sind ein wichtiger Beitrag. Danke auch dem interessierten Publikum für die vielen Fragen.
Danke an @othmar_karas für die Buchpräsentation. Europa muss einig werden gegen den aggressiven putin und Trump, der uns bekämpft. Die Marionetten wollen sich putin unterwerfen und unsere Freiheit aushöhlen, wie @herbert_kickl in einem Interview eben sagte
