That's crazy, the amount we spend on NFL stadiums would probably be enough to have a moon colony, maybe even Mars. xitter.cf/patiomensch/status/621… – at Portland, OR
It cost $700 million to reach Pluto. Which seems huge until you realize the new Vikings stadium is costing us $1 billion. #wrongpriorities

I just saw this post and immediately joined patreon.com/xjm. It would just take a few hundreds #Drupal community members sponsoring a short code review to fund a significant chunk of @xjmdrupal's work. Let's just do it. 1/3
ALT Help sponsor me on Patreon! After a two-month search, I still haven't secured even half-time funding for my #Drupal core release management work. So, I launched a Patreon page to try to supplement my contributions with microfunding: https://patreon.com/xjm https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7106021419615944704/

Sarah Traux was viciously attacked in front of her children in Montavilla Park on March 15 & reported the assault.
As of yesterday: “She still hasn’t been contacted by a [Portland] police officer.”
Should you intervene? Recent Portland attacks reflect need for bystander training oregonlive.com/crime/2023/03…

Noodle passed away yesterday. The sweet old man brought us all so much joy, celebrate him today and celebrate your own babies at home. Please allow Jonathan the space to grieve and keep him and his close ones in your hearts today.

For 6 years I've had the privilege of working w/ @xjmdrupal at Acquia. She had a major impact on all #Drupal work I've been involved w/: critical security fixes, Layout Builder & Automatic Updates.
Companies wanting to make a major impact & deep Drupal knowledge can do no better!
Hey #Drupal world, xjm is seeking employment! Especially as a paid core committer. The facts were that before today I was 100% paid and today 0%. Help me and help core!

This is fabulous and good pointers for actually getting shit done by and with employees. I’ve worked for companies that do the exact opposite on a distressingly regular basis.

"As a female #software engineer, I have often felt like the odd one out in a room. Add to that being autistic with ADHD and anxiety, and you have quite the combination that leads to a lot of masking and trying to 'fit in.' It's hard–and exhausting." (1/5) ⬇️

Botanically speaking, cucumbers and tomatoes are, in fact, fruit.
Sorry about that.

We are hearing that @PPSConnect is not going to assign an additional 3rd grade teacher to Glencoe even with 34 students in both classes. Is that true?? @Super_GGuerrero @JonGarc1a @JuliaBrimEdwar1 @EilidhPdx @depassm @Drewid95 @akohnstamm @garyforportland

Nope. I have $0 in student debt, and I wish the forgiveness plan was bigger. I’m happy that someone is finally doing something to fend off this predatory practice.

If you were “a pleasure to have in class” then you are probably now either on anxiety meds or have weekly therapy appointments or both 💀

Think taking public transit in our region is a challenge? Try doing it with 5 kids under 8 years old.
Our Family Biking columnist Shannon Johnson explains why being a "transit family" is important to her - despite the sacrifices it entails. bikeportland.org/2022/08/10/…
