𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 TI-Kenya, in partnership with the Business Registration Service (BRS) and the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority - PPRA, convened a joint cluster meeting for the Open Government Partnership (OGP), Beneficial Ownership (BO) and Open Contracting (OC) clusters in Nairobi bringing together key stakeholders to help strengthen transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in governance and open contracting. The meeting reviewed progress under Kenya’s 5th National Action Plan (NAP V), with discussions focused on: ✅ Enhancing beneficial ownership transparency and data interoperability ✅ Improving open contracting systems and access to procurement information ✅ Strengthening feedback and accountability mechanisms ✅ Validating the Beneficial Ownership Transparency Toolkit This session also assessed the implementation of cluster milestones and generated recommendations to refine commitments ahead of the NAP V mid-term review. Today, TI-Kenya, with support from the @opencontracting Partnership, convened the Nairobi City County Government (NCCG) Access to Government Procurement Opportunities (AGPO) Beneficiaries Stakeholders Forum. This forum brought together special interest groups (women, youth, and PwDs) to strengthen their participation in Open Contracting through public procurement under the AGPO framework.
