Great work @lowcarbGP. Amazing how many health care professionals do not tell those with type two diabetes that it’s possible to reverse / put it into remission & ditch the drugs. Hope the message continues to spread @Diabetes_ie @HSELive @diabetes @hrbireland @roinnslainte

50 years ago, Big Sugar quietly paid three scientists to point the blame for chronic disease at cholesterol and saturated fat. Millions of Americans died as a result. Here’s how Big Sugar has been lying to the American population since 1965:

I really worry about the conflicts of interest in our ‘leading food science departments’ like this revealed by The Financial Times involving Reading University and Mars and Pepsi Also that there may be a coordinated policy to ‘Deny, Denounce &Delay to protect Junk food. Rather like cigarettes all over again 😥on.ft.com/4bqRNh1 @HenryDimbleby @DoctorChrisVT @UKLabour

Great conversation - we need to see people as people 1st & then as scientists or parliamentarians. We live in the same world & want to make it better. Hopefully by engaging on neutral ground we can find the common language needed. #Science4Parliament @ClubOfRome @IPUparliament

I do believe (from extensive research for a Master's degree thesis) that most people with type two diabetes do not know that remission is possible and if they do, they did not hear it from a HCP. Why? @Diabetes_ie @HSELive
If people with diabetes were told clearly &unambiguously that if they stopped eating carbohydrate-rich foods they could probably arrest or reverse their diabetes, thousands of lives & billions of dollars could be saved? ⁦@DiabetesUK⁩ ⁦⁦ theguardian.com/commentisfre…
