It was a pleasure to speak at the NASSCOM Technology Confluence today on the opportunities and challenges shaping India’s technology sector. NASSCOM’s report, Agentic AI Adoption in Indian Enterprises: Growing Adoption, Nascent at Scale, highlights the next big challenge: scaling AI beyond experimentation. While 95% of the 200 enterprises surveyed have implemented agentic AI, 78% still limit agents to structured tasks, and over 75% seek demonstrable returns on their AI investments. Moving from adoption to scale will require stronger data foundations, skilled talent, trusted AI systems and infrastructure. This is central to Telangana’s AI strategy roadmap. We are building an end-to-end ecosystem that brings together large-scale compute infrastructure, talent, research, innovation and AI-enabled governance. Through initiatives such as AI City, AIKAM and TGDeX, we aim to help businesses develop AI solutions and take them from experimentation to real-world applications. Talent must be at the heart of this growth. I also urged NASSCOM members to create equivalent opportunities for rural youth, ensuring that access to AI skills and careers is not limited by geography. The BJP is using SIR to illegally remove eligible voters from the electoral rolls.
