Returning from the pie oven to snark about stuff that matters / not into private chats. Parody (if the Aus govt is looking) 😉

I visited Paris in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It is heartbreaking to see it in such a state. 😞

Any anomalous weather conditions blamed on Anthropogenic Climate Change are more likely due to a different type of man-made phenomenon such as is depicted in this movie from 1999. They always have to tell us what they’re doing. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storm_…

Galeries Lafayette is the most beautiful department store in world. In Paris it’s being looted by barbarians. This is what happens after decades of putting multiculturalism before assimilation and running mass migration programs from the third world.

Imagine, you’ve worked your whole life to finally own your home, and now the government is calling you selfish for wanting to keep it because they can’t run the country properly. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Older generations entered the workforce at a much younger age. My mother was 15 when she started working full time. My dad was 14. I got a degree and was 22 before I started working full time. My daughter is still studying at 26. It makes a difference to accumulating wealth, but I believe it will even out eventually due to higher earning potential. Of course inflation plays a role, but it’s not the only factor.

By that logic, only white British people should be able to complain about immigrants in the UK. The term “white privilege” assumes that all white Australians are treated better than people of other demographics. In today’s society, I can guarantee you that is not the case. Ask any white teenage male.

Currently it is very difficult for kids to get into trade courses at TAFE etc. why? Because of high levels of competition and limited spaces. If government spent money on providing more training spaces for our kids, then they wouldn’t need to import people from other countries to do jobs that our kids should be doing. I remember a time when all the trolley boys were 15 year olds and it was an entry into the workforce. Now trolley people are mostly foreigners with limited English and no skills other than telemarketing whilst they push the trolley around. As well as this, successive governments have incrementally destroyed the apprenticeship/ training system and now people wonder why there’s a skill shortage. Bring it back, and the skill shortage goes away.
