There’s a lot of talk about staff unions being antithetical to union democracy. But so many of our members who have won grievances, or benefit from our contract just want to stand with our organizers. This isn’t hard.
Hi Anny! I am the rank-and-file student worker who runs this account, and I actually designed and printed this poster. I stand by this design. I was organised by a USU staffer 2 years ago, and we have been fighting for a militant, historic student worker union since 🧵

We stand in unwavering solidarity with the workers who taught us how to organize, how to count cards, and how to fight for a union- and you should too. You can find our solidarity statement here:

Now, we are asking @UAW to live up to their values & give us job security, sick leave, and free speech.
This Thanksgiving, show your love for USU and send an email urging UAW to avert a strike! Link in bio 🍋

As USU, we’re thankful to be able to organize with @UAWRegion9A members every day. We can’t express how grateful we are to have the support of so many of the members we work with to win improvements in their workplaces.

Two days later and @parsonsdesign have said nothing about @jcrew CEO’s Husband David Potter assaulting our students.
Turns out being a @TheNewSchool donor comes with the added perk of being able lay hands on a student of your choice. Must have missed that.
Last night at the Parsons Gala, David Potter, husband of @jcrew CEO Libby Wadle-Potter, was documented grabbing a pro-Palestine student protestor.
NYPD legal ran up to him & he pointed toward another protestor, who NYPD tackled to the ground & arrested. Potter was not arrested.

As of this morning, Educational Student Employees at Western Washington University are ON STRIKE for a fair 1st contract. ESEs do critical work that makes WWU run, and it's time for WWU admin to agree to a contract that creates a pathway to college affordability ✊⏰

Let’s be clear: tonight a New School donor assaulted a New School student and got off scot free.
This is @TheNewSchool under @DonnaShalala and this board of trustees.

We would be grateful for any help in identifying the gala attendee.
@parsonsdesign Do you condone your donors directly assaulting your students?

Three were arrested tonight (including a SENS member) at the @parsonsdesign gala. This came after a gala attendee physically assaulted a protester and the NYPD stood by and helped usher him to his car.
