First day at Apple!
I’m joining the Swift Playgrounds Content team.
Obviously I can’t visit the office yet so here’s a photo of me back in 2011 when I was at WWDC. I wasn’t a full time iOS developer yet at that point, but knew I wanted to be! Didn’t dream I’d end up at Apple.
Having this entire window replaced today, which I'm pretty excited about. It's our only single glazed window, absolutely freezing in winter, and none of the windows open any more. Big job though as it's structural.

On Thursday, Cllrs will be deciding on the future of the Greenbank-Meadows Quiet Route 🚲🌳🚶♀️👩🦼
I have written this blog outlining why Greens support strengthening of the route and oppose any measures to reduce filters along it (1)

This does seem like a gap in the legislation. Scenes like this are common in Marchmont. Has a similar impact to parking on the pavement but as wheels are on the road it's fine?

Hi there, The team have responded and advised that yes unfortunately, they can only enforce when the wheels are on the pavement. Thanks. Joanne.
(Before the usual suspects chime in - yes, I know he's just doing his job but how about he parks sticking out on the road instead? Why should that be that less acceptable?)

One for the Edinburgh Lynx Africa users.
If you're lucky enough to receive a Lynx Africa this year, think about recycling it. Recycling just one aerosol can will save enough energy to power a home stereo speaker for 32 hours! Learn more about Green Christmas recycling edinburgh.gov.uk/recycling-3…

We’re in the paper 😀. Great to see this spread in @scotonsunday on the @InfraSisters. Our message is clear - Edinburgh must deliver night time cycling infra that’s safe for women and girls. We know many cllrs support this but there’s still a way to go to get 💯% of them.

Really cool role in my department just opened up in London - working on the documentation compiler. Huge opportunity for impact across Apple and with external developers. Let me know if you'd like more info or a referral.

Bizarre street clutter in Glasgow. Huge pavement reduced to about 40cm width by seating, poles, bike racks and utility boxes.
