Trying out Herdr has got me even more excited to try out @superlogical’s Rex. While I like a lot of the features of Rex the UX is hurt by it being purely a TUI. It reimplements tabs and splits but with more awkward key bindings and you lose per split-font-sizes

Sensible abstractions is still what I’ve seen it struggle with. It’s the main reason I’m not really comfortable with vibe coding from scratch. In mature codebases with clean domain abstractions already in place I’m much more comfortable.

PRS exist because I trust the judgement of my coworkers. Each one is better than me in specific areas. Getting their perspective helps me make better decisions and ship better code.

I don’t know a single person outside of tech who is doing this kind of thing though.

In general, e2e tests are crazy slow and fragile and require a lot more setup. So we use faster, simpler isolated tests to cover the details of complex things that are frequently reused, and then just have a few e2e tests checking basic paths.

We do basic axe/core accessibility tests on the Vue components for all our pages without a running server because where the data comes from is irrelevant to those tests, so we save a TON of CI minutes

We have multiple endpoints that use a the same search service. When testing those endpoints we make sure that that service is being used correctly but don’t try to cover its edge cases. Instead we have isolate tests covering it in depth.
