When making money is no longer your goal, that is when you can start being truly effective.

When you talk to successful founders, they always wish they'd hired fewer top managers from outside. I don't think I've ever met a founder who wished he or she had promoted fewer people from within.

Verification is a big part of this gap. Most harnesses look pretty similar at this point. The hard part is figuring out what a good outcome looks like and how to verify it.
I see people doing this with FDEs or spending a lot of time building those loops into the product. Often some mix of both.
Knowledge capture and verification depend on each other. Getting that loop started + improving over time is the moat is for many application-layer companies.

Had dinner with a tier 1 VC in NYC and we were chatting about Bending Spoons and he goes "The Bending Spoons guys are PE guys, they value businesses on EBITDA. In VC we value businesses on VIBEITDA, so its quite different"

There may not be many people left in 10 years who can write, or want to read, things longer than a page or two. But there will be at least a few of us, and we'll be a powerful club.

The curse of discipline is that every day looks the same. The curse of indiscipline is that every year does.
This movement is so impressive actually, not only is it thin, we're talking literally 2 stacked credit cards thin, fully automatic with a micro rotor.
BUT, what's even more impressive is the 80 hour power reserve, with the new suspended double barrel, so freaking cool!

Production engineering agents are bottlenecked by context. A single trace in a large distributed system can exhaust the entire context window.
At Antimetal, we built a set of compression techniques that fit 10–100× more telemetry into our agents’ context windows, allowing them to solve classes of problems that were previously intractable.

The danger of selling to big companies, if you're a startup, is that they don't say no outright. They have months of meetings with you first. Since you hate meetings, that seems to you a sign of commitment. But it's not. They love having meetings! It's almost all they do.

Messi,
I can’t thank you enough.
You have given me more joy growing up than anything. I am forever grateful to you for what you have given me and billions of others. You mean so much more than football to us. You have inspired us and made life more beautiful.
The child left in me leaves with you today.
The hurt from today is not from Messi losing this game, it is from football losing Messi.
The greatest of all time. We will never see anyone like you. Your legacy is eternal.
I can’t wait to tell my future children about Lionel Messi.
