Ndiyani acha nhonga? Let's start with the person who dropped it. You may have finished the chips, but you haven’t finished with the packet. Throw it through the window, and what flies from your car can land on a verge, block a drain, or make Harare look unclean. Enjoy the bite but do what’s right. Keep the packet until you reach a bin or a responsible waste collection point.

⏰ Every 3 seconds, an adolescent girl is forced into child marriage.
That’s 12 million girls every year who are robbed of their health, education and the fundamental right to choose their own future.
When a girl is married as a child, her education ends, her health is put at severe risk and her potential is cut short.
But we know what works: investing in health, education and social protection for girls can help #EndChildMarriage for good.
This #DayOfTheGirl, join @UNFPA to invest in girls' rights now: unf.pa/cm

#ManifestoMonday End Child Marriage and Invest in Girls' Rights.
The People's Human Rights Manifesto (PHRM) reminds us that every girl is a rights-holder today, deserving of dignity, equality, protection and access to quality education. Through Ask 1, Ask 5 and Ask 8, the PHRM calls for constitutional protection, affordable education and the freedom to participate in decisions that shape girls' lives.
Ending child marriage and protecting girls from abuse and discrimination requires more than promises; it demands action and accountability from leaders and communities.
The PHRM's 10 Asks are girls' rights. Hold leaders accountable.

A girl is married somewhere in the world every 3 seconds - cutting her childhood short, ending her education, and putting her health and future at risk.
The “urgency to end child marriage is greater than ever”. Progress must accelerate by at least 20 times by 2030. #UNFPA calls on governments, communities, and partners to “invest, at scale and over time” to ensure girls’ rights are upheld - everywhere.

Domestic Tourism continues to create opportunities for Zimbabweans to explore their own country through music, culture and entertainment. Jamaican music legend Beenie Man has been welcomed to Zimbabwe ahead of the Kadoma Music Festival, taking place tomorrow, Saturday, 10 October 2026, at Odyssey Kadoma, alongside Congolese music icon Awilo Longomba. The festival encourages Zimbabweans to travel beyond their hometowns, discover local destinations and experience the richness of their country’s Tourism offering.
Kadoma is already experiencing the benefits of Domestic Tourism, with hotels and lodges reportedly fully booked, while restaurants, transport operators and other businesses stand to benefit from spending by local festival-goers. Speaking on the sidelines of Beenie Man’s arrival, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Chief Executive Dr George Manyaya highlighted how entertainment events promote destinations, create jobs and stimulate economic activity. The Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, together with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, encourages Zimbabweans to make Domestic Travel a lifestyle, supporting local businesses, sustaining livelihoods and ensuring Tourism revenue benefits communities across the country.
