I often think about how He was born in a wooden manger, grew up working with wood, and died on a wooden cross. The fabric of Earth carried its creator from cradle to grave. I wonder if, despite His suffering, if for a moment hanging up there, the dogwood cross smelled like home.

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

quoting the Bible while you run cover for a pedophile and do everything possible to harm immigrants while funding a genocide is anti-God, unbiblical, and is a perfect depiction of Christian Nationalism. it’s a perverted religion that would absolutely murder Jesus all over again.

We are witnessing with despair the iniquitous use of hunger as a weapon of war. Burning crops, stealing livestock, and blocking aid are tactics increasingly used by armed militias. As civilians languish in misery, political elites grow fat with impunity. It is time to sanction these abuses and hold accountable those who are responsible for it.
