Genetic context OUTSIDE of the promoter region can have a strong impact on gene expression in E.coli. Pleased to share my work in @FreddolinoLab and with Chase Lindeboom.
Even strong promoters can be silenced depending on genetic context in E. coli. Our new article @NAR_Open doi.org/10.1093/nar/gkac787 authors @ScottAScholz , Chase Lindeboom. Thanks for reviewer feedback leading to key additions!

Excited to share a preprint with some of my thesis work done in the @LandickLab! We used cool techniques to unravel connections between H-NS filament structure and DNA sequence. Thanks to my co-authors for making this project fun! @cmhustmyer @mikebwolfe @JessenErik
Hybrid analysis reveals how DNA sequence governs genomic location and DNA contacts of bacterial chromatin H-NS filaments biorxiv.org/cgi/content/shor… #bioRxiv
Honored to be a part of a great paper!
Excited to share @biochemBeth's latest pre-print exploring the role of DNA sequence in dictating H-NS filament structure. We use new methods to probe H-NS both within an individual filament and genome wide and present an updated model! Happy to contribute with @mikebwolfe.

SO! Finally! Here we have it: For those who need it, who want it, who have asked for it or who could just use it occasionally — dark mode is now available on the desktop app as well as mobile, for everyone. Read more: slackhq.com/dark-mode-for-sl…

ALT An image with a picture of Dark Mode with a picture of the dark UI of the slack app, as well as the words "Dark Mode, we have it. Thank you for your patience. We hope you like it." And this is true. Thank you for waiting while we strive to make accessibility core to every part of our product. We know it's taken a long time. We're sorry. We're working hard to make things better. Thank you for sticking with us. xxx
