The @aphrc 2026 Newsletter Issue 1 is officially out and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Africa is no longer just a subject of study. We are the architects of our own knowledge systems, and that shift is happening right now, in real time. This newsletter is an honest reflection of our journey at APHRC the exploring, the adjusting, the learning, and the unlearning. It doesn't shy away from the complexity of charting new frontiers, because real growth never does. We exist at a defining moment. The continent is moving boldly toward owning its own narratives, its own data, and its own solutions. I am honoured to serve alongside a team that rises to meet that moment every single day. And speaking of team ,I cannot let this moment pass without celebrating our Communications team. They are the ones who take our research, our mission, and our story and breathe life into it so the world can see and feel it. Behind this beautiful newsletter is hours of hard work, creative thinking, and genuine love for what we do. They make APHRC visible and that is no small thing. Defensive driving is more of a mental state rather than the practical aspect of driving. You can be a vehicle mover but not a driver. #nakuru #ChiefJustice @RoadAlertsKE @KenyanTraffic @Ma3Route @sikikasafety

We want to propose a motion by saying learning defensive driving online is the same as attending physical classes. What do you think?

Is President Uhuru aware that the cost of living is going higher everyday? Does he really know that Kenyans are barely surviving? Does he care about us? Can someone explain to me how life will become easier if we decide to pass BBI? Will BBI lower rent, food, fees and fuel prices? – at Nairobi, Kenya
