How novel. Four men running for the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras board. Amazing how men continue to centre themselves
When the study doesn’t standardise the definition of ‘anti-trans’ or distinguish between perceived stigma and direct exposure and the article itself says the results should be interpreted with caution… study is flawed.
“We took women to court and won, and made sure women & girls lost all their sex-based rights, but they still won’t lie online!”

We say no.
I’ve always found it deeply ironic that feminism spent decades telling women:
You don’t have to be feminine.
You don’t have to wear dresses.
You don’t have to like makeup.
You don’t have to be nurturing.
You don’t have to behave a certain way.
And now we’re told “woman” is a gender identity defined largely by someone’s relationship to those very stereotypes.
We fought against this shit.
Why is society trying to rebuild it? We say no.
Remember when Eddie Izzard used to say things like, ‘These are not women’s clothes, these are my clothes’. He has gone from progressive to regressive in his rally against stereotypes. What a silly, silly man.
Woman with short hair changes her name and shuns stupid stereotypes around femininity. Cool. Still not a man.
Jake felt trapped as girl. His gender dysphoria was not a phase and his choice was simple - confront it head on, or die. Now, he sometimes forgets he's trans. 🔗 READ MORE: bit.ly/4zJdZzx
Nicole Kidman tells lies.
Nicole Kidman tells British Vogue about the origin of her love for fashion, make-up, and hair:
“I’ve said it before but I used to go to trans clubs. That’s where I learnt to do my hair and make-up. I would sit down as a little freckled-faced red-headed girl and they would make me beautiful.”
“They would do my lashes and straighten my hair and put hairpieces on me and make-up. I would walk out of there and I would feel pretty. I would feel like I was transformed. And so that’s probably where it all started for me – clothes and make-up and hair – and then all of it mixed with studying literature and loving acting.”

This is the givesendgo page for Nomes, who has built a pole dancing studio and business for women only. Ten years of hard work.
And now her business has been targeted by TRAs, so she faces an ordeal through our courts for the right to say No to men.

The absolute absurdity of this. This poor harassed mother.
What a surprise. Another misogynist who can’t bear women calling out his BS. Another block for me within one interaction. @CliftonvilleRd
Why do TRAs always have a dummy spit then immediately block? Imagine being that emotionally fragile.
Brisbane women, come fight for our sex-based rights. Let’s help fix the sex discrimination act. If we can’t define women, we can’t protect them.
IWD Meanjin Brisbane is unashamedly a Left wing Women's Liberation page. We support women's abortion rights, we oppose racism and colonisation. AND we'll be at the Fix the Act rally to support Women's Rights Brisbane.
Please don't let the fact you are Left wing hold you back from attending the rally, women's sex based rights and children's protections cross the political divide.

As we gather in our hundreds on 12 July at the Fix the Act Rally, 10.30am Queens Garden Park, Brisbane CBD, let's acknowledge with respect the women and men who began the rallies in 2022. These photos are from 28 May 2022 at Speakers Corner outside Parliament House.
IWD Meanjin was already hosting IWD rallies from 2018 and in May 2022 we came together to focus just on the need to restore women's sex-based rights. We campaigned against the Qld Labor Government's plans to pass sex self identification. We lost, the Qld Labor Govt passed the Men Are Women laws in June 2023. And the current Qld LNP Govt lacks the courage to repeal them.
It's also fair to acknowledge that although most support for women's sex-based rights does come from the Right, IWD Meanjin Brisbane is from the Left and we began the movement in Qld. That's probably why some would attempt to erase IWD Meanjin but we're not going anywhere.
Back on 28 May 2022 we were 25 or 26 people. Over the next months we never exceeded those numbers. Let's pass those numbers by many times on July 12.
