Jan shares so much good information about reading fluency in this episode. I especially loved hearing how she explains the idea of prosody to students and how she connects it to brain research. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcasā¦

There are people who:

Inspired by my own childrenās favourite road trip game, this ABC of #SOR list aims to direct educators to some of the best research that has helped guide my #ScienceOfReading learning journey!! @sstollar6 @janhasbrouck @PamelaSnow2 @RWheldall
Adding this to my wishlist! Teaching schwa can be tricky but so important!
Got this cute little book today. Our phonics curriculum does not cover schwa until very late, so my Title students lack exposure. It is too important to leave out when they hit multisyllabic words! So this year it changes! #NecessarySkill #PKVProud #UntilEveryChildCanRead

Teaching our students to write a story or paragraph is the end goal, not the starting point, of writing instruction. So what foundational transcription skills do students need BEFORE they can write a paragraph? Thank you J.Graham for your help with this!
