The Australian Epic v Apple antitrust remedies were just issued, and are a huge victory for consumers and developers. We are studying the verdict and will share more soon. The Court has freed Fortnite in Australia and it will return alongside the Epic Games Store…soon.

I just give my Grok Bot pretty much everything in my life. But Ray, it's just a chatbot. It logs my breakfast while I talk, my Withings scale checks in every morning on its own, it posted the prompts for my viewers while I was still live, and it even does my receipts. 0:24 It logs my food when I talk 2:15 It posts for me while I'm live 3:08 It's the brain my other apps talk to

I gave one of my AI coworkers a new trove of data. Its shortened response: “This is incredible data… This is the demand signal we’ve been missing!” Within 1 minute it took the data cross referenced it then produced a report without me asking it to. This is Opus 4.5, The Goat. 🤩

my ai-generated games have reached millions of players globally :D and helped me survive the downfall of the industry over the last 3 years after being a hardcore programmer for the last 12 years, i have stopped writing any code since the last 2 years - even removed all the IDEs my coding language now is: english (or hindi) >the publishers i work with love my games >the players love the games >i spent less time developing, more time researching and ideating win-win for everyone?

Developers who are getting value from AI should speak up. There's safety in numbers. MOST developers are doing it and loving it - and if they're not talking about it it's mostly out of fear for haters attacking them, their product, and their company.

When I was writing Unreal Engine 1, my time was divided as follows: - Around 30% went to seriously deep coding on hard problems: assembly language texture mappers, C++ BSP trees, data persistence, object oriented systems design, and networking. - Around 70% was just typing and refactoring large bodies of code needed for a complete engine feature set. This was not hard, and while I was doing it my mind was mostly on the deeper coding topics, thinking and planning for what's next. It didn't feel much different from vibe coding today, except that it was just me typing code on an IBM Model M keyboard rather than prompting it and reviewing the results. So, it has always seemed perfectly logical that we would rely on AI for that 70%, once the AI could do it with a similar quality standard as we could, which has never been perfection. It came as no surprise that, after a few years of AI model evolution, it was able to take the reigns on that 70% and free up programmers' time for more valuable tasks. What's more of a surprise is the emergence of AI as a sort of insta-Carmack able to solve hard technical problems quite cleverly and often cleanly, and that it's able to reason about and work in complex 3D scenes both by operating the tools and by directly understanding the raw data files. I abandoned assembly language in 1998 when out-of-order CPUs made much simpler C/C++ code faster, and never I missed it. If prompting through architectural documents, concept art, and design plans can transcend typing code and tweaking vertices, that will enable developers to spend their time on higher-level, higher value technical and creative tasks. What matters is the end product, whether it's a game or an engine. Anything developers can do to try out more ideas and make better software and games faster is a win for everyone.

The games we've long wanted, which didn't exist because they'd cost several times more to make than they'd earn back, will soon become possible. As will the games developers wanted to build, but couldn't with the resources available. It'll be a new golden age of gaming.

Yep, a saturated app store means way more work to stay visible. Some vibe code devs have enough cash to throw at search ads and keep their Frankenstein apps (not saying I’m perfect, but some look like they got the idea from a fever dream) anchored at the top.

I've been building iOS apps for years. Lately I've lost interest. Reason one: the App Store is saturated. Every idea has 40 copies, most of them vibe-coded in a weekend. Reason two is worse. I barely open apps anymore. I ask ChatGPT, Claude or @bot and it's done. If the developer doesn't use apps, who's the App Store for?

Adam's new video about what's been happening in the App Store and indie dev community recently. It's a great video, and I think all devs should watch it. youtube.com/watch?v=hqdU_wmU…

Been a while since I've seen numbers like this. 100k views in two days. And what's better, is a good chunk of this is all Post-Labor Economics. I feel like everything up to this point was just practice. Now that I have Claude Code as my animator and audio engineer, I can finally make the content I wanted to all along. My animated explainers are doing really well. Plus, upgrading to the GoPro for my forest walks has been a game changer. It makes me want to upgrade to the GoPro Mission 1 but unfortunately YouTube cut off my monetization AND patreon isn't growing anymore.

Today I removed my high ranking OB Wheel pregnancy tracking app from the App Store With Apple’s decision to start banning peptide apps I realised this app poses too much similar risk (medical app) I’ve never been able to successfully monetize this app. When I tried, it was an ai chatbot that could give advice to women. Apple rejected it for being “harmful” and dangerous. So I rolled it back to just an ai overview of each stage and never worked on the app again I’ve had a few people reach out to buy it. But then: how will they monetize it? There’s a risk with selling an app and then the new person does something egregious with it. Then Apple look back at the app history and I’m associated with it. So the only call for now: remove it from the App Store Saying goodbye to my OG app portfolio is a hard thing to do. But we’re in a different app landscape now.

That’s terrible charging a fee on top of services from other companies that have nothing to do with them. Who does BBC think they are, Apple?

Apple is a LITTLE out of touch with the state of Siri. Siri is just plain terrible. My wife refuses to use it. I keep trying it as a "lunatic fringe" AI fantatic and it keeps letting me down. Simple things like setting a timer, checking in on that timer, are just plain broken. You've got to test the software. Siri is still terrible, even with Siri AI, it has a new set of problems that make it just plain dumb, slow, and frustrating to use. @gregjoz @AppleSupport @apple @johnternus macrumors.com/2026/10/15/gre…
