Check out our new preprint "Males deploy multifaceted strategies and hijack longevity pathways to induce premature demise of the opposite sex" from @BrunetLab and our fantastic collaborators @ctmurphy1 and Cheng Shi!
biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
Some genes are highly specific to male-induced demise whereas others are regulators of longevity in both a single- and mixed-sex setting. We found two novel longevity genes that when knocked-down extend C. elegans hermaphrodite lifespan in the presence and absence of males.
