This week, after nearly six years, two elections, and across three terms, I had my last meeting as a @cityofhazelpark City Councilmember.
Itās been an incredible honor.
Thank you to my spectacular colleagues, dedicated staff, and the best city manager in Michigan.
Onwards.
honestly not sure if Iāve ever seen a debate so lopsided. Abdul wiped the floor with Rogers so badly he had him running into his mic bc he couldnāt stand up straight.
āon substanceā
Replying to @llondo
I get that youāre anti-GOP now, but Rogers won that debate on every topic, on substance, and on trustworthiness. Abdul lost across the board and will lose again in November.
this is one of the most embarrassing things Iāve ever seen. thinking you have a Perry Mason moment when actually itās Lloyd Christmas.
I think the most telling aspect of this entire campaign is that @MikeRogersForMIās strategy has centered on rank character assassination of @AbdulElSayed because he has a terrible record and nothing to offer from his inextricable link to the failed policies of the president.
Gas is twice as expensive, inflation is robbing us of our buying power, Rogers wants the poor to be bankrupted by medical costs, he supports tariffs on our biggest trading partners, and he is hoping that appealing to racism will compel you to vote against your self-interests.
in the last day, @MikeRogersForMI has tweeted about policy once (while lying about it), and reminded us that @AbdulElSayed is Muslim four times (plus other racist tweets). Rogers has spent decades in politics and government canāt point to a single thing heās accomplished.

.@JohnJamesMI also voted for the continued use of lead pipes in Michigan, so at least heās consistent on the issue of lead in our water supply.
First itās your fishing tackle. Then what?
Michigan sportsmen deserve a government that respects our outdoor heritage. Iāll always stand with those who hunt, fish, and enjoy the GREAT OUTDOORS.šŗšøš£

if you support the poisoning of children by not replacing infrastructure that causes lower IQs, reduced attention span, behavioral and learning problems, damage to the nervous system, poor concentration, slowed growth, hearing impairment, and more, @JohnJamesMI is your guy.

How dare you, Congressman. My husband enlisted in the Army and put his life on the line for our country after losing his friend, Todd Ouida, in the towers on 9/11. This is a despicable lie to the people of Michigan about what that day means to me and my family, the sacrifices made, and the devastating impact of that attack on our country.
I have never, and would never, campaign with anyone who says something so reprehensible.
If you have any decency, you will immediately take down this false ad. The veterans and families who lost loved ones on 9/11 deserve better than your lies and self-serving political opportunism.
Shame on you.
weāve officially reached the awful LinkedIn takes of Michigan v Western as a crisis comms exercise takes of this news cycle.
spare me the faux outrage. the stadium/TV clocks werenāt synced to what was shown on review. who cares! go outside! touch grass! hug your kids! log off!
genuinely reminds me of the discourse around āelection integrityā and people being unaware or not having understanding of specific procedures/guidelines.
just because you donāt know how it works doesnāt mean itās wrong!
the one person Iād read a comms take from about this whole situation is @AndreaBitely, who Actually Did A Press Conference For It and (even though she was entitled to) *didnāt* do some horrendous, ChaptGPT-written LI post about it.
good grief.
this guidance is contrary to years of how the rnc has historically operated.
inshallah orange mussolini makes this campaign a referendum on his presidency and that maga inc. spends its dollars highlighting his policy (failures) instead of lifting up individual members
60 days out, the RNC is issuing this warning ā
āIf members are choosing to keep an armās length from the president, they risk alienating their base [and] they risk 15 to 20 percent of their key Republican voters not turning out because they donāt feel like theyāre a good supporter of the presidentās policies,ā RNCās Natalie Baldassarre said.
