Shami Chakrabarti amplified the antisemitism scam when she published her report ten years ago about so-called 'antisemitism' in the Labour Party—a phenomenon that was statistically nonexistent.
She then supported the adoption of the full IHRA working definition of 'antisemitism', which is nothing short of a Zionist charter because it labels criticism of Israel as 'antisemitism'.
Subsequent events have demonstrated that her opinions on this topic have been comprehensively discredited, yet the BBC still gives her a platform to peddle this garbage. She even claimed in this exchange with @comrade_kumar_ that Zionism has been around for hundreds of years, yet the term wasn't even coined until 1890.
Chakrabarti has no credibility whatsoever to pontificate about the decision of grassroots Green Party members voting for a motion that accurately describes Zionism as racism, because that is precisely what it is.

In The Siege of Derry, published in 1980, the unionist writer Patrick Macrory recalled asking an Orangeman on the eve of the August 1969 march why such provocative celebrations had to continue when the city was already a tinderbox. He described his acquaintance as “the kindest and most decent of men”.
The answer was: “We have to show them who’s master, that’s why.”
I still remember those white gloves and silver swords. Let us give the children growing up today a different inheritance: neighbours who ask how we might live together, rather than who is master.

This is an alarming new low, for Jim O’Callaghan, the Minister for Justice, himself a lawyer, making an outrageous accusation against members of the solicitors’ profession.
Not dissimilar in tone to the Minister’s threat to bring in the Defence Forces during the fuel protests. Everyone has the right to strike, the 300,000 plus Public sector workers rightly stood up for their rights to fair pay.
I fully support my solicitor colleagues and resolutely stand against this type of reckless, feckless rhetoric.

🇺🇸🚨 The #HindRajabFoundation has filed an urgent request with the U.S. Department of Justice, demanding the immediate investigation, arrest, and prosecution of Sean Glass, currently present in the United States. Glass commanded the Israeli unit implicated in Hind Rajab's murder. HRF's investigation places the 52nd Battalion—including Glass and his Vampire Empire Company—near her vehicle during the killing. Today, Glass walks free in the U.S.

The irony.

spare us the selective outrage.
Your own leader, publicly paid tribute to David Tweed, describing him as a “larger-than-life character”, despite Tweed’s history of child sex abuse.
Tweed’s own daughters spoke out about the horrific abuse they suffered and condemned those tributes. Allister eventually apologised for the hurt his comments caused, only due to pressure
Where was all this moral indignation then?
Donaldson’s victims deserve justice, absolutely. But so did Tweed’s. Victims don’t suddenly matter more or less depending on which political party the abuser belonged to
And frankly, the timing and selective nature of this outrage raise a legitimate question, is this really about standing with victims, or is it political manoeuvring designed to score points against the DUP?
Because when concern for victims appears to depend on which political party is involved, people are entitled to question the consistency of that concern.
Perhaps you should reflect on your own party’s history before delivering lectures about anyone else’s.
