What is the worst thing you have ever done? Write it on a sticker and put the sticker on the front of your shirt and wear it everywhere you go. Nothing you can ever do will cover that label up – everything is seen through that stain. This is a convict’s life – FOREVER
Are we going to educate, or incarcerate? Just finished the #reentry2030 launch event -> great advocacy from Nicole Jarrett, @MzDeHoskins, @ElgieSims and @DylanHayre. Inaction is a decision! Let's go forward reinventing #reetry from #prison with #education reentry2030.org/

Last month Connecticut became the first state in the country to make prison phone calls free. It’s a huge victory for the incarcerated and their families and will transform the lives of children with incarcerated parents. Every single state should do this. theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv…
“It’s no longer a luxury. This is serious. It’s really a social justice issue. It’s a 21st century civil rights issue.”
@CheptooKositany, advocate for closing the #digitaldivide, on the lack of reliable internet access for everyone.
Our team has been able to circulate thousands of our free educational guides across the country to fill the gap in prison education programs and supply incarcerated folks with job training manuals and content for personal skill development.
Here's Level, by the numbers:
"Access to higher education in prison should not depend on what state or facility confines an offender, which political party favors the idea and whether prison administrators are for or against rehabilitative efforts..."
"...If any prisoner seeks out and engages in higher education, that choice should be supported at every level."
