It's the shortest day of the year. Which means from tomorrow our days will start to get lighter and brighter. Before we know it, there'll be the delicate colour of blossom on the trees. #WinterSolstice #EveryoneNeedsNature

Hard to believe that he's been gone for 5 years. Partly because I carry the-Dad-in-my-head everywhere I go, which means I always have to order Bananana daiquiris whenever see them. This is how I like to remember him - laughing with a bird on his head.

Today in my garden, amidst the thrust and hurl of wind; this Robin, perched still & steadfast just sang, for so long. There and then, all I felt was hope and the strongest surge of determination. Nature does that, it forges unimaginable purpose. In fragility there is strength.

I don’t think any of us who witnessed what happened in the House of Commons today, whether in person or on TV, will ever forget it. I think the genuine, inhuman, toxic horror of it will remain etched in my mind for the rest of my life.

There’s a compelling suggestion tonight that Johnson’s bus story was a) designed to stop us thinking about the £350 million bus lie and b) game the google algorithm. If you now search Boris and bus you get bloody cardboard. SO pls RT this link A LOT... itv.com/news/2016-05-11/uk-d…

On #GoodFriday morn, 21 yrs after our historic peace accord, we wake up to shocking news of pointless, violent death on the streets of #Derry. Please pray for her family, friends and colleagues today who must now carry such a heavy cross of grief and pain. Rest in peace.
