I wonder if @tferriss picked this up from our episode @michaelgervais. 😉 youtu.be/JJPixpl7xzc?t=2431
Tim Ferriss swapped one phrase out of his vocabulary and says it quietly changed everything: "I have to" became "I get to." @tferriss
"Whatever you're referring to, it's such a quality problem compared to a lot of problems in the world. It's not over the top, but that slight positive valence — even 5% — adds up over time."
It's not about pretending the meeting isn't a grind.
It's noticing that "grind" was a choice of word, not a fact, and the word you pick shapes the experience you actually have.

Google Scholar just informed me I hit 100 citations. As someone who never took a traditional academic path (aka unknown affiliation 🤣), that means a lot. Proof that you do not need a conventional lane to create work that matters.

Love this clip. Two solid minds at work.
What's your potential?
It's one of the best practices I do.
I'll say to somebody, I really want you to spend some time to think about what your potential is.
See if you can get a vision, use your imagination to get as clear as you possibly can about what you believe you're capable of.
I just want to see and feel that compelling future and I'll do the same for you.
We agree to reconvene the next day.
The person was thinking about overnight and then I'll say, do you want me to go or do you want to go first?
This allows you to align and see what a person's potential is.
My research-backed argument that enjoyment is the strongest predictor of adhering to a healthy protocol (or sticking with a habit). psychologytoday.com/us/blog/…

Why is it so hard to quit smoking, drinking, or put down the phone? Experts say it’s not weakness but wiring. Our brains evolved to seek rewards that once ensured survival, but today’s substances and screens hijack that same system. #BrainHealth loom.ly/rmlbJPg
