So, it turned out to be true. A few weeks ago I raised alarm at the @Our_DA @CityofCT announcement that it was selling Annandale Farm for private development. The land was purchased in order to address the housing crisis in Dunoon - Annandale is directly opposite Dunoon. I said I believed the land had been purchased using USDG - grant funding - and selling it would be a breach of the grant conditions. My PAIA application confirms the land was bought with funding meant to support housing development for the poor. No housing was built but now it’s being sold for private development and at a profit! I’ve written to the Minister @The_DHS Disgraceful. We need a moratorium on all sales of public land. That’s my commitment for day one.
