The City’s Disaster Risk Management Centre has concluded a three-day Safer Places of Worship training programme at St James Church, Kenilworth.
Training covered emergency planning, fire safety, first aid, bomb-threat response and emergency exercises

The City is investing R18m to strengthen electricity infrastructure across Bellville, including a R687 000 mini-substation upgrade in Oakdale.
The programme includes 10 mini-substation upgrades, 8 RMU replacements and undergrounding overhead cables.

The City is continuing its partnership with key industry organisations for 2026/27 to drive economic growth, attract investment, grow exports and create jobs.
