Minter didn't dismiss the idea of bringing in another kicker. He's been pretty reluctant to criticize or challenge players publicly early in his tenure as HC, but he's been pretty strong about frustration with Loop's misses today.

Another week, another vague update from #Ravens coach Jesse Minter regarding Lamar Jackson.
Minter is still putting Lamar Jackson as "day-to-day." Says he'll know a lot more Wednesday. Asked if Jackson will practice this week, Minter said, "Potentially."

Minter said he really didn't consider going for it here with how the offense was struggling. Didn't want to risk giving up the ball on their own side of the field.
Jesse Minter's decision yesterday to take the delay of game (and then punt) in a 13-13 game with 2:08 left in the 4th was the mostly costly win probability 4th down call so far this season (by a lot) per ESPN's model

Jonathan Gannon may not have been the flashiest DC hire, but it certainly looks like the right one. Without Micah Parsons and Edgerrin Cooper, Gannon has his defense playing like one of the NFL’s best. Breaking it down after Packers 23, Cowboys 13: nytimes.com/athletic/7703964…

As it turned out, it was all a tease. The late-game execution. The clutch FGs. The win-preserving stops. All of it. In loss to Browns, the Ravens showed that they still have a knack for dropping games they have no business losing. (FREE TO READ) nytimes.com/athletic/7702846…

Packers go 4-for-4 on third down on their opening possession: 3rd-and-5 --> 15 yards to Savion Williams 3rd-and-13 --> 27 yards to Christian Watson 3rd-and-13 --> Pierre Strong 14-yard catch 3rd-and-9 --> Matthew Golden 9-yard TD

It seemed as though the Ravens bucked the trend of late-game failures with wins over the Cowboys and Falcons. Then came a 13-10 loss to the Browns. And now come games against the Bengals, Bills and Jaguars. Are the Ravens any different from last year? nytimes.com/athletic/7702846…

Doesn’t seem like Quinshon Judkins will play for the Browns today
#Browns RB Quinshon Judkins (questionable, ankle) finished his workout with Duce Staley and walked back into the locker room. Andrew Berry watched. He seemed to have some discomfort on stops and starts. There were no high-fives after the workout.

The NFL is expected to suspend Jacobs, but it's TBD on how many games. If the league decides on a six-game suspension, he won't miss any more games after Sunday's matchup with the Cowboys. If it's more than six, then he'll miss more games. For now, he'll be eligible to play against the Lions next Sunday.
News: Josh Jacobs is being removed from the Commissioner Exempt List on Monday and will be eligible to practice and play next week. The NFL investigation is ongoing and he can still be suspended, but as of now he’ll be at practice next week before the Packers visit the Lions.

Lamar Jackson again not practicing in portion open to media, so he’ll presumably miss his second straight game with ankle injury.

Quality insight on how the Ravens are having success in the running game (without just mashing Derrick Henry).
It sure seems like Ravens’ OC Declan Doyle’s got the goods.

From Weeks 1-3, the Packers ranked 31st in pressure rate allowed. In Weeks 4 and 5, they rank first. Behind the remarkable offensive line improvement are two new guards who came out of nowhere. Will they stay in the lineup? Story: nytimes.com/athletic/7691042…

A few guys still trickling out on practice field, but no sign of QB Lamar Jackson. Minter has consistently said that Jackson wouldn’t necessarily need to practice to play Sunday. But it’s been 10 days now since he’s been on field. Seems pretty obvious where this is headed.

“There’s no bad blood with anybody who’s been here." A productive partnership yielded a disappointing and tumultuous ending between the Ravens and Todd Monken. Yet, the reunion takes a backseat to Browns’ latest test With @AkronJackson (FREE TO READ) nytimes.com/athletic/7691259…
