It’s just morally and reprehensibly wrong that this half-dead, morbidly lethargic, sorrowful excuse for a human being blocked or voted AGAINST paid medical leave 23 times. He returned to “work” yesterday after being on paid medical leave for 3 fucking months.

New Yorker: “Private equity and predatory landlords destroyed this city.”
NBC: “Okay, we’re done here.”
Say the quiet part out loud on live TV and suddenly the interview is over.
Funny how “free speech” disappears the moment you blame the people actually cashing the checks.

3. #LongCovid is a poverty sentence. Despite 10k+ studies of biological abnormalities, there’s still no approved treatments or disability support.
I was just denied disability support at court hearing after 3 yr process.
If this happens to you, it will fall on you & your family

ALT Screenshot of an article headline from the Rolling Stone magazine reading “First they got long Covid. Then, it made them homeless. It’s estimated millions of Americans have developed chronic illness after result of COVID-19 infection. For some – especially those in the gig economy – it made them unable to support themselves.”

4 days out from my life-changing surgery, @Aetna has denied the appeal for my brain surgery.
to be clear, when i signed up to aetna months ago, the coordinator had confirmed they would cover this surgery. then, a week ago, they said the surgery was too experimental/elective and denied coverage. we appealed. that appeal was just denied today.
now, my neurosurgeon is trying to do a peer-to-peer consult with someone at aetna to explain why i need it so we don’t lose the surgery date on monday morning. aetna is not being responsive.
this is sadistic and a violation of basic trust. please spread this so they can’t ignore it. they may not care if i live or die but people should know just what kind of company they’re dealing with. and please pray they are able to have a peer-to-peer consult with my neurosurgeon and have a change of heart.

My agency (forge.coop) did the design for Zohran’s campaign.
While I wish I played a part, it was all the masterful work of my partners, Aneesh and Phil.
Having worked with these 2 for close to a decade, it’s no surprise they created what many consider (the most?) iconic political branding.
I’ve seen Aneesh go deep into the archives of typography and color theory, and Phil spend hours custom-building animations to bring a UI to life.
HYPED to see their work getting the credit it deserves.

Whatever happens tomorrow, never forget that this doggedly positive and hopeful campaign—in every way a fight for basic dignity and joyful celebration of democratic pluralism—was relentlessly denounced by political and media elites as something sinister, dangerous, and violent.

Late Thursday night, I canvassed the taxi line at LaGuardia — and caught up with some old friends from @NYTWA.

Some personal news: I’m preparing to run for Zohran’s Assembly seat.
As a Queens mom, an immigrant organizer, and a democratic socialist, I’m ready to fight for the working people of Queens! LET’S WIN THIS!🔥

The dream of every Muslim is simply to be treated the same as any other New Yorker.
And yet, for too long, we have been told to ask for less than that, and endure hatred and bigotry in the shadows.
No more.
“Mamadani” dude can’t even spell check
To all Republicans: New York City’s future is on the line in this election. A vote for Sliwa in this race is a vote for Mamadani.
Thank you @foxnews for having me on.

Sheryl Crow says she has sold her Tesla and donated the proceeds to NPR.
“My parents always said... you are who you hang out with.
There comes a time when you have to decide who you are willing to align with. So long Tesla. Money donated to NPR, which is under threat by President Musk, in hopes that the truth will continue to find its way to those willing to know the truth.”

Under Trump's executive order, every single person in America is now legally classified as female.
All embryos begin by developing female sex organs, with male sex organs only replacing them at around 6 weeks of gestation.
This is a horrifying situation. I am so disturbed by health insurance companies in the U.S. and across the world. Human lives are never their priority and the way they take advantage of grieving people is sick and inhumane. Wishing this family peace and a fortunate outcome.
