We've been raising the alarm on this for years. If this is happening in the US imagine what's happening in countries where the primary language is not English, I.e. intelligible to the content moderation methods these sites use.

What happened today here, platforms like @Facebook @YouTube and @Twitter have been facilitating a lot of that in countries that are not considered "important" with unfettered misinformation, hate speech and what have you.
