🌳 "People wait for hours at one location hoping to have a glimpse of a tiger. Seldom is this waiting time used productively to appreciate the trees that made this forest liveable for the tiger. A mere glance across the trees would reveal hidden worlds and exciting interactions"

Cage set near Sanjay Gandhi National Park raises concerns after leopard sighting. As per protocol, leopards or tigers are typically trapped only in cases of confirmed human-animal conflict or when the animal is stranded in a human-dominated landscape with no safe escape. Such action also requires approval from senior wildlife authorities like the principal chief conservator of forests (wildlife) or the chief wildlife warden. @mid_day @MahaForest @moefcc @WCCBHQ #mumbai #leopard #wildlife #trapping mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-ne…

@MumbaiMetro3 The absence of any mobile network or Internet services throughout Metro Aqua Line 3 route is extremely dangerous and makes every passenger vulnerable in case of any accident, medical emergency, law-n-order situation or any mishap. @CMOMaharashtra @AshwiniBhide

@MumbaiMetro3 Not providing any mobile network service is a design and an operational flaw that needs to be corrected on a priority. I hope my message reaches the decision makers and appropriate measures are taken. @CMOMaharashtra @AshwiniBhide

Also, there are no police personnel deployed at any of the metro stations or inside the compartments for the safety of passengers. @MumbaiMetro3 is quite popular and needs to address grievances mentioned. @mid_day @TOIMumbai @ranjeetnature @mataonline @MBTheGuide @AnujaacMT

In the Zero Hour today raised the issue of the Tadoba Tiger Corridor, home to 250+ tigers has by BJP government opened up for mining activity ignoring its own expert committee report to not allow mining activity in the corridor. What is at stake? 1. 18,000 trees across 35.95 hectares will be felled. 2. A critical tiger corridor connecting India's largest national park, home to 250 of our country's approximately 4,000 tigers will be endangered . 3. Over 650 villages are facing an increased threat of human-tiger conflict. 4. The habitat of 60+ tigers, along with leopards, bears, wild dogs, and countless other species will be destroyed. And what do we get in return? 120 jobs – of which only 32 are permanent. This is not development; this is devastation dressed in the language of progress.

I am a Jain and for my entire childhood I have been taught to feed pigeons by my parents and grandparents. It was a habit to visit the 'kabutarkhana' after the temple. But let me tell you some facts. The Pigeon droppings, feathers, and even dried urine contain tiny protein particles and fungal spores. If you are regularly exposed to it, you can develop scar tissue in your lungs, and it can turn into a permanent and progressive ILD. Around 45 to 50 thousand people die from ILD every year in our country. Though not always because of pigeon but one of the causes. Coming from a religion where I have been taught Ahmisa from childhood, I totally understand what you feel about pigeons dying from starvation, but in my family, I have seen two people dying because of ILD. It is such a painful death that I would do anything to save people from it. Pigeons are flying rats. Do you feed rats in your home? If yes, feed pigeons in your home.

Most unfortunate...complete mockery of India's wildlife laws.
This video is allegedly from Battis Shirala in Sangli district. Disappointing to see live Indian Spectacled Cobra snake shows during #NagPanchami passed off as "awareness." True education means respecting snakes—not handling them for stunts that endanger both animals and people. #WildlifeConservation @kedargore @raww_tweets @PetaIndia @moefcc @MahaForest @kaushal143all @WCCBHQ
