If you ever needed the data to show what happens when vaccine disinformation spreads and trust in science is undermined - here it is.

Ralph Baric is the reason we had COVID vaccines in less than a year. He is an extraordinary, brilliant scientist. I cannot tally the value of his contributions to the field of virology & to humanity. Many people are alive today because of his work. I am privileged to have worked with and learned from him.

Good to see this. The “offspring” reviewing Ralph Barics massive contribution to research and emerging disease preparedness. Dr Baric had to retire under the relentless pressure of politicians accusing scientists of causing the pandemic journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128…

This woman died from measles after giving birth. Meanwhile @CDCgov leadership blocked the publication of a health alert to providers regarding risks of measles during pregnancy
NEW: Pennsylvania reported its 6th measles death in an unvaccinated resident of Jefferson County. State health officials gave no details.
But person was a 21-year-old woman who died after post-partum complications, the funeral director told me.

Can’t wait to see @AnnieAndrewsMD, a pediatrician, and @AbdulElSayed, an epidemiologist, finally hold RFK Jr accountable, instead of being forced to watch Bill Cassidy capitulate over and over again.

People of Florida. Y’all better hold your damn head high. We broke state legislature super majorities because we drove turnout while everyone wrote us off.
We have work to do sure, but let’s celebrate the fact we won 17 seats down ballot.
I’m an organizer. And I look forward to getting back to what I love and know best. Organizing THE HELL out of my state.
Let’s get to work!

Florida Dems, don’t despair. We moved the Governors race 18 points to the left despite being outspent by $160 million. We moved the Senate 10 points to the left from 2024. We ended the supermajorities in the Florida House and Senate, we beat the DeSantis Dummymander PLUS flipping another seat in Congress. We have several other Congressional seats that Trump won by double digits within 1 point. We got our Cabinet races within 2 points.
A few months ago, if anyone would have predicted these results in Florida they would have been told they were insane. Let’s build off of this for 2028 and let’s make Florida a state not to be ignored in the Presidential race.

Let’s be clear about what's happened: a child died of a disease we know how to prevent, after years of purposeful effort to convince parents that vaccines are more dangerous than measles. That’s a lie, and it’s a deadly one. I’m grieving for this family and furious that we’re here.

Angie Nixon ran a hell of a campaign and kept it very close in state nobody thought was winnable. And let’s remember this was a special election. That same seat is up again in 2 years.
Florida is going to have a $200 million Senate race in 2028.

BREAKING: Virginia voters have passed Question 1, establishing the right to reproductive freedom in their constitution.
Virginia is the last Southern state without an abortion ban, and with tonight’s results, it will stay that way.
