Been meaning to post this for a week. Curious how these prices compare to the rest of the country. These were the prices last week in Doncaster. Might have changed by now.
I think our Military aid budget where billion are given to Ukraine alongside weapons, would be better spent defending the Falklands from hostile actors in the southern hemisphere.

The move was allegedly a cost cutting exercise to make up for the price of high quality beef
But to add to that LIDL has its own GREEN targets and so is lowering its environmental impact
Beef is one of the most nutritious foods available to us, we don't need to artificially adjust it with plant protein

I was sorting through some thing the other day and found this was apparently a thing in the UK during the pandemic. Had no idea this letter was sent out. I guess it was so that those that didnt listen to radio, watch TV or use the internet were provided the messaging.
This was before they got the emergency broadcast updated. They'd probably use that to shit the pants off peps if there is another one in the future. This would have been from Boris Johnson at the time but, probably penned by his secretary as I doubt Boris would have

A GP prescribed folic acid tablets for me in 2025. I took them for 2 weeks and had horrendous stomach cramps. I stopped the tablets and the cramps stopped. I obviously cannot tolerate folic acid and I won't go back to that GP.

Microsoft is working on a Windows 11 age-verification feature that could tell apps a user’s age range without sharing their birthday.
Windows would handle verification and tell an app whether the user is a child, teenager, or adult, instead of each app collecting a date of birth.
Microsoft says the actual birthday will not be shared and will keep more personal information private.
The feature could help block mature content, limit certain features, or apply age restrictions in apps and games.

This is an annoying android change which appears to be the default behaviour. At some point it was decided that the long press for the power button should be changed to a key combo and instead now open up the AI assistant which is Gemni by default. I have no interest in using
this assistant. Thankfully it's togglble in setting back to what I'm used to. Still this is Micropslop levels of design. They need to do more QC for the user experience going forward. This change shouldn't have been done by default. It should have only been given as an option on
device setup rather than retroactively. Not surprised though since everything is being enshitiffied so the stock of companies involved with AI can go up.

I suspect that the reason price is going up, is to cover the increased cost of storage due to AI data centers. After doing a bit of research it seems that prices were raised in the U.S first this year and Asia and Europe is being brought in line with those price rises.
I was organising some books and I came across an interesting bread recipe. It's interesting in that there are no seed oils, an ultra processed ingredient I might add, present in the recipe. It's from a 1936 cook book that came with a Magnet . I highly doubt that this is even in
print anymore. Just figured it was worth sharing as it's something I have been after. Lot of other interesting recipe in the book some I have heard of and others I haven't.
