Absurdly excited that I finally get to reveal the cover for my second collection, DEED, out August 20th from @weslpress!!!
It's available for preorder in hardcover, paperback, and e-book forms now: weslpress.org/9780819501325/…

ALT A floating white arm, seemingly severed by a black ribbon, floats in from of a stump with pink cabbage roses blooming from behind it. The background is a gradient of black and white. There are two pieces of text, "torrin a. greathouse" in a pink script at the top of the cover, and the title "DEED" in block letters descending vertically along the left side. The title appears to be gently cradled by the arm's hand and casts a shadow across it as though it were a physical object.

I just realized that #TheUnbroken came out this Tuesday a year ago. My life and the world has changed so immensely within that year, in both beautiful and tragic ways, some of both I haven't even come to terms with.
I've been floored by your support for this book, for Touraine,

Novelist Amy Bloom's new memoir, In Love, is centered around her husband's diagnosis of Alzheimer's and her quest to help him end his life in the manner he chose. The book also chronicles their life together and how it was changed by the disease.

On every cover letter I’ve ever written for every school, every award, every scholarship, every fellowship, I make sure to say that I was born in the Philippines so the judges know my white-sounding name belongs to me.
