Currently 2m+ visitors, about 15k rooms are required for 1m visitors (assume length of stay remains same). At this point, Rasmale has about half the total tourist rooms, as the whole rest of the country. Moving on, we expect the average length of stay at Rasmale to be much longer - after all, high end villas sold for longer period of time. So, to reach 1m visitors, you need proportionately more rooms. If the average length of stay doubles, the required rooms jump up to 30k, triple implies 45k rooms. At this point, Rasmale has more tourist rooms, than the whole rest of the country. Just imagine 30k-50k tourists in that area cramming a limited beach - 🫢 how on brand would that be for Maldives. Truly a government of clowns running Maldives. At this point, that is an insult to clowns. Seriously, when you make shit up, at least do some basic homework to ensure it has at least a semblance of plausibility. Comparatively, Eagle Hills development Lulu Island, 400 hectares has 1800 villas and about 1000 residences/apartments.
