A big congratulations to beneficiary @SamplebarK who had a wonderful opportunity to showcase their project - The SampleBar at the just concluded Paris Olympic Games🎉
#IgniteCultureEA #nimesampliwa #parisolympics2024
We have followed the SampleBar journey from the start and it’s so great to see how well the finished digitised tool is being received both in Kenya and beyond our borders!

🚨ATTENTION ATTENTION🚨
Congratulations are in order for beneficiary @CultureCentreKE 🎉🎉
The Kenya Cultural Centre, as part of their granted project, developed a formal poetry theatre curriculum that is adaptable to the needs of artists from different regions in Kenya.
This curriculum has recently been approved by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVET) and the TVET Curriculum Development and Certification Council (TVET CDACC), making it the very first tertiary level accredited poetry curriculum in Africa!
We are very proud and honoured to have supported this feat via the Ignite Culture Programme, congratulations once again👏🏾👏🏾

#IgniteCultureProjectRecap💥
The @BoldinAfrica team created the Bold Woman Fellowship as part of their grantee project. This initiative was aimed at developing business clinics and a digital marketing programme for 20 young, female-led designer brands in Uganda.
The fellowship also developed an e-commerce platform to provide retail, market access and visibility opportunities for fashion designers.
This video gives us a little taste of what the 2023 cohort got to learn and experience during the program.

It’s been a minute but we’re back on here! The Ignite Culture project is soon coming to an end & as we continue to go down memory road with all the great projects that have come out of this financing facility…

Beneficiary @TheBookBunk held their annual NBO Litfest in August last year where Ignite Culture was a proud sponsor. NBO Litfest is a literary festival anchored in Nairobi’s public libraries featuring stories & ideas emerging from Nairobi & beyond.
#IgniteCultureEA #nbolitfest
We saw authors, musicians, journalists, academics, poets, artists and the like all come together to celebrate the public libraries as spaces for art, culture, & knowledge production and they were also given a platform to express/showcase their work.
