Tomorrow, His Excellency President @WilliamsRuto will lead in the Dedication and Official Commissioning of the Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga Mausoleum at Kang’o Ka Jaramogi, Bondo. The occasion comes during #MweziwaBaba, the month dedicated to remembering and honouring the life, legacy and contribution of the late Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, as the Nation marks one year since his passing. Tomorrow’s s ceremony carries a profound significance. A mausoleum is not merely a structure. It is a repository of memory, history and identity. It provides a physical space through which generations can encounter the story of an individual and understand the historical context in which they lived and served. The completion of the mausoleum through the @kdfinfo marks an important milestone. Its transition into the stewardship of the @museumsofkenya now brings an equally important responsibility to ensure that the site is professionally conserved, documented, interpreted and protected for generations to come. The legacy of the late Rt. Hon. @RailaOdinga is inseparable from important chapters in Kenya’s history. His decades of public life intersected with the country’s democratic development, constitutional transformation and engagement with Pan-African ideals will remain part of the historical record that future generations must be able to encounter and understand. I commend H.E. President William Ruto for His leadership that has brought this National undertaking to completion.

Kenya preserves its iconic elephants with science, ethics and emotion through the work of National Museum of Kenya taxidermist Dr Bernard Agwanda, turning natural deaths into powerful conservation tools. In the latest issue of msafiri magazine, Paul Udoto explores the extraordinary afterlife of Craig, Amboseli’s legendary super‑tusker.
