I never thought I'd fall in love with a well-written sentence. But then I started working with @Zarandi.
It's okay to drop the ball. If you feel that you are working over your energy levels and have informed your manager and team about this, but things don't change - it's okay to prioritise yourself and drop the ball.
There is a little voice in our head telling us that the intensity on this job is normal, and maybe you are not good enough - well, that's bullshit. You define what works for you and in what conditions you thrive. It's also your responsibility to say and protect these conditions.
And this not a reflection based on my current role at @Wise where I feel fully supported! ♥️ This reflects other jobs where I didn't prioritise myself, and it impacted my confidence and mental health negatively.
