I’ve always believed the No.1 application of AI should be to improve human health.
That work started with AlphaFold, and now at @IsomorphicLabs with the mission to reimagine drug discovery and one day solve all disease!
We are turbocharging that goal with $2.1B in new funding.
RT @mustafasuleyman: Hi everyone,
I urgently need your help! Two of my friends have gone missing whilst hiking in the Dolomites.

Our message to @RishiSunak on the 20 February 2024 asking for an immediate halt to any more floating bus stops or shared use bus boarders. Access to & from the bus has to be direct from the pavement without having to step into or cross a cycle lane first. Our journeys matter too.

Why did we need to update the human genome reference sequence? When it was created during the Human Genome Project, around 70% of the sequence came from only one person with blended ancestry, including African, European, admixed American, East Asian and South Asian ancestry.

ALT A graphic depicting the original reference human genome sequence, with around 70% of the data that came from one person with blended ancestry, which includes African, European, Admixed American, East Asian and South Asian ancestry. The remaining 30% came from 19 individuals of mostly European ancestry.

Today marks the 75th anniversary of the NHS. It's been a privilege to work alongside @NHSEngland and @NHSgms for 10 of its remarkable 75 years.
Congratulations on the milestone, @NHSuk!
Heard this from my house on my way out this morning, it was motivation enough to get tickets and go see them live tonight. Elated.
There was a break, but Pulp are back sound-checking… ‘Do You Remember The First Time?’ #pulp #jarviscocker #FinsburyPark

Got the new Zelda, on my way to Turkey to see the election through - two things that bring a lot of anticipation and joy 🫶

Can you make an ad for murder? Here’s one.
So Turkish government just banned Twitter because people were sharing too much about what’s happening on the ground (and how gov is failing to help). It is also the channel where a lot of NGOs were using to coordinate rescue efforts. The level of evil in this is astounding.

Last month I worked undercover with debt collectors breaking into homes of vulnerable families for British Gas
We were sent to force-fit prepayment meters at homes including one where a mum was with her 4 week old baby.
If families cannot top up, their heating can be cut off

Really love the 10 positions from @PUBLIC_Team - especially "Teams are the fundamental unit of delivery." on funding teams, not projects.
A group of people with diverse perspectives and talents on a shared mission is the best way to learn, make and succeed.
