I don't use twitter these days but in case you do use twitter then we have a job at Edinburgh if you would like one here? elxw.fa.em3.oraclecloud.com/… There's some areas we are particularly interested in, but also very open to apps from folks outside those areas. Bye!

From the @cogsci_soc '22 committee, a HUGE thank you to our incredible reviewers this year! We had 762 paper submissions, assessed by 959 reviewers + 158 meta-reviewers, generating 3038 (!) reviews during February & March. That's amazing dedication from the field...

Maybe this is related to seniority? Either way, there's a good argument that reviewers should take stronger positions on the papers that they read, so that meta-reviewers spend less time reading the runes.

So to sum up, CogSci reviewers are amazing. And the people submitting papers must be incredible too, because the programme looks fabulous. We - @AndyPerfors @drculbertson, Vero Ramenzoni and me - are so excited for Toronto this summer!

I'm really excited that this paper is finally out (+ open access). This was the main project I worked on for three years as a postdoc: trying to figure out what concepts are and how polysemy works. Here's a thread 🧵... 1/20 onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…

Our ManyLabs 5 contribution is quite laden: A “non-significant” finding from the Reproducibility Project that we found to actually replicate (with a big n). My heart goes out to the original authors, for dealing with clouds over their work for 5 years journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs…

Running a large multi-site replication of an eye-tracking task was tough, but fortunately we had a crack team: @martincorley @ailsamillen @clevitan with great support from supremo @CharlieEbersole

And the original authors were Jennifer Crosby, Benoit Monin, & Dan Richardson. Here's their initial paper: journals.sagepub.com/doi/ful…
Many Labs 5: @cebersole 169 coauthors & I replicated 10 Reproducibility Project: Psychology replications that were not endorsed by original authors. We ran same protocol and revised protocol after peer review. Did replicability improve? 11 papers in AMPPS journals.sagepub.com/eprint/…

Hello - the world seems a bit caustic right now. But, if you want, you can look at our friendly suggestion for improving one of the more pointless bits of the scientific ecosystem. 🤗 w/ Tom Heyman & @pieter_moors nature.com/articles/s41562-0…

Frank Keil has been my colleague down the hall for many years, and there is nobody -- nobody! -- as intellectually generative AND intellectually generous. Also, just a tremendously sweet person.
Frank Keil is a treasure. I don't recall describing him in quite this way, but at my PhD defense I compared meeting with him to being in one of those gameshow-style flying money machines — so many valuable ideas sailing through the air, not nearly enough time to write them down.
