Undergrads! No one told me so I'm telling you. Did you know you can get flown out, offered lodging & PAID to do summer research (even w/ no experience)? First, I want you to learn these two terms: REU=research experience for undergrads SURF=summer undergrad research fellowship

Colleagues - how do you decide, within a department, how much to compensate participants? Is there a standard hourly rate, or each pays according to their abilities? Does it differ for student (especially undergraduate) research? please RT and TIA.

Question for cogsci tweeps, Do you know of cogsci research on why people find "proof by contradiction" hard to grasp? Specifically, that people find it hard to temporarily take a false starting premisse to be true so as to be able to prove it false. RT = kind

Our ManyLabs 5 contribution is quite laden: A “non-significant” finding from the Reproducibility Project that we found to actually replicate (with a big n). My heart goes out to the original authors, for dealing with clouds over their work for 5 years journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs…
