Today, on #EndImpunity for Crimes Against Journalists Day, we salute all the courageous journalists in Ghana who risk their lives to tell the stories that matter.
In addition to honoring the bravery of those who report for us, let's take proactive steps to establish a world...

Yep Been predicting it for ages. Government needs to pay up and account. Add to it the loss of audience due to ASO without audience having access and have disaster. @MediaMattersZA @SOSCoalition
Pains me to read @AndiMakinana story in @SundayTimesZA. I predicted this in my affidavit to @ConCourtSA in Feb & on pod with late @Eusebius in March. Blame rests totally on @ParliamentofRSA & @PresidencyZA for purposefully failing to appoint #SABC Board for 6 months. Disgrace.

If you’re reporting on Google’s blog post regarding blocking news in 🇨🇦, it’s entirely rehashed, misleading talking points now amplified by G’s fav academics. Last graph is all that matters. I can’t guarantee its a bluff as 🇨🇦 is a proxy war to prevent similar laws elsewhere. 1/2

It’s worth noting, google was very willing to double the paid links on its search results pushing news links off the screen, and controls 95% of search so they’re pretty much full of it with these talking points.

In sixteen chapters, written by 19 authors representing nine countries, the handbook shares what you need to know to get a journalism course online. Pandemic-era experience + reflections for the future.
